My Girl

Katie is my girl,
My only girl,
My baby girl,
The only girl I’ll ever have,
She’ll always be my baby.
That will never change.

She makes me happy,
She makes me sad.
She is so spunky,
She is so feisty.

Sparks fly
From her fiercely intense eyes.
She runs like the wind,
And she fights for the ball,
Like her life depends on it.
Today, perhaps it does.

She feels so good to hug.
Why is that?
Because she is so strong?
Or just because she’s mine?

I love to be with her,
To talk to her,
To look at her,
To touch her.
Why is that?
Because she is so beautiful?
Or just because she’s mine?

Katie is my girl,
My only girl.
And that is something extra special.
