Poem

She was sent to you from above,
To bless you with her love.
Only lent to you for such a short time,
She touched so many lives.

She shared her gifts in many ways,
Never knowing how short the days.
So young and sweet she will always be,
Living on in our memories.

Now the time has come for you to
return the dove
With reluctant aching love.

Back to the angels she will go,
How it hurts to let her go.

In your heart you should know she is safe,
Even though the fear you feel of moving on.
She will tell you that her love for you will
Always be…

Though not here to give the hug, she'll touch you
From above with the warmth of the sun.
Feel her breath in the wind
that dances across your skin.

Quietly in the night sky,
You will see her pass you by.

As you watch the stars in the sky,
Remember the sparkle in her eyes.

She will let you know in so many ways,
That her love for you will live on…
Throughout the rest of your days.

Though not here to help you see
them through,
Never forget the gift that she was to you….
